Fallout 76 Seasonal Event Guide: Mischief Night

ree

With thanks to Cofffee888 and SugarBombsRADS.

SUBJECT TO CHANGE WHEN PORTING TO LIVE SERVERS

Rampage through Rapidan Camp! A rowdy Eyebot called JES-2R is leading a crew of mischief-makers to wreak havoc on Rapidan Camp. I should call upon my most wicked instincts for the occasion... and bring a good disguise!

This event will be a permanent seasonal event.

A notification will appear in the top left-hand corner of your screen and in the World Activity tab in the bottom left-hand corner.

ree

You don’t need to wear a costume to participate in this event, but it is encouraged.

Note: Since dropping a nuke in Skyline Valley doesn't create a Nuke Zone, you won't need to wear a hazmat suit or Power Armor if someone tries to nuke the event.

The following is recommended to make the event a little bit easier:

  • Jetpack torso mod

  • Marsupial mutation

  • Speed Demon mutation

  • Damage Output buffs such as food, chems, and alcohol.

  • Max AP and AP Regen Food Buffs

  • Energy Resistance and Damage Resistance Food Buffs

  • Turn off all unrelated event and quest map markers in your pip-boy

This event can be completed solo if you know all the spawn locations and are running a combat build with optimized AP, maximum AP, and AP regeneration.

Rewards

Photos of the rewards can be found here.

Downloadable and printable reward checklists can be found here.

The Event

The event is divided into three sections: Forest, Grounds, and Helipad. You need to complete tasks to fill the progress bar before you can move on to the next section.

Each task contributes a set number of points toward filling the progress bar:

Task

Points per Action

Graffiti Wall

2

Light a Bonfire

2

Loot a Candy/Treat Bowl

1.25

Blow up things (Boxes of Fireworks)

1

Fork the Lawn

0.75

Kill Lost

0.75

You can complete tasks in previous areas and still have them count toward the current progress bar. For example, if you’re in Part 2 on the Grounds and you kill Lost in Part 1 in the Forest, it will still contribute to the bar. Just keep an eye on the event radius, as it is centered around JES-2R, who moves throughout the event.

This event functions much like The Big Bloom, using a single 15-minute timer for the entire event rather than separate timers for each stage. Be mindful of how much time you spend in each section. Ideally, aim for no more than 4–5 minutes in the first two sections so you have enough time to complete Section 3. There aren’t many tasks available to fill the progress bar in Section 3, so if time runs out, the event will fail.

PART 1

Sow mayhem in the forest!

From the spawn in location, run up the hill and light the Mischief Pyre (Starting Pyre).

You have 5 minutes to light the Pyre.

Be cautious when lighting the Pyre. If you jump onto the logs on either side of the fire, you might get stuck between them and will need to fast travel to escape.

ree

Follow JES-2R from the Starting Pyre to the Forest Pyre while completing the tasks listed below. Because of the short event timer, it’s best to run ahead and complete the tasks instead of keeping pace with him.

ree

Light the Bonfires

2 points each

There are 10 bonfires to light.

Most can be found along the dirt track as you make your way downhill.

I’ve created a short video here that shows all spawn locations.

Blow Things up

1 point each

Stand well away when shooting to blow things up, especially the boxes of fireworks. The boxes have a large area of attack and will down you if you are too close. Melee weapons can not destroy the firework crates.

Light the Forest Pyre

Once the progression bar is full, you have 2 minutes to light the Forest Pyre.

PART 2

Sow mayhem in the grounds of Camp Rapidan!

Follow JES-2R from the Forest Pyre to the Grounds Pyre while completing the following tasks. I would advise running ahead of him and completing the tasks in the area due to the short event timer.

The security force consists of three legendary Assaultrons. They’ll explode on death, so stay alert. Aim for their legs to cripple them and make it easier for everyone to bring them down.

The Vertibird has 3000 HP. Shoot at it or use Melee weapons to destroy it.

Lost will keep spawning even after the event is completed. Clear the area first before checking your rewards.
