Burning Springs: Head Hunt Bosses - Group 1

Each Head Hunt boss comes with a distinct weapon setup and a signature mechanic, and their side-kick group follows a similar theme. Side-kicks use weapons, attack styles, or status effects that fit the same flavour as the boss they support.


The list below breaks both bosses and their side-kicks into two parts:

Weapon and Effect

Covers everything tied directly to their weapon, including any built-in mod effects.

Unique Attack

Covers any additional ability they have on top of what the weapon already does.

The Black Horseman

Weapon and Effect

  • “Famine” Gatling Plasma

  • Each hit removes 129 hunger points (10.4 percent of the full food bar)


Unique Attack

  • Deals 2x damage when the player’s food bar is at 16.67% or lower


Side-kick group: Ravenous Gluttons (Death Gang)

Weapon and Effect

  • None


Unique Attack

  • Standard feral ghoul melee attacks with no extra effects

The Pale Horseman


Weapon and Effect

• “Death Gun” .50 Cal Machine Gun

• Crippling legendary mod

• Each hit deals 5x damage to players


Unique Attack

• None


Side-kick group: Killer Reapers (Death Gang)

Weapon and Effect

• “Deathbringer” Submachine Gun

• Crippling legendary effect

• Cryo effect that freezes the player on hit


Unique Attack

• None

The Red Rider


Weapon and Effect

  • "War" Cremator

  • Bloodied Legendary Mod

  • Executioner’s Legendary Mod


Unique Attack

  • Frenzy aura that forces nearby NPCs to become aggressive


Side-kick group: Brutal Combatants (War Gang)

Weapon and Effect

  • Bloodied “The Fixer”

  • +20% damage


Unique Attack

  • None

The White Horseman


Weapon and Effect

• “Pestilence” Plasma Caster

• Deals 40 radiation damage on hit

• Applies 45 poison damage per second


Unique Attack

• Applies 12 poison damage per second to enemies that hit the White Horseman

• Effect only applies when the attacker deals damage

• Leaves a toxic area on death, identical to the Daily Ops Toxic Blood mutation


Side-kick group: Burning Stingwings (Pestilence Gang)

Weapon and Effect

• None


Unique Attack

• Abraxodyne Corrosion on melee hit

• 10 damage per second for 5 seconds

• 2 radiation damage per second for 8 seconds

• Reduces the target’s Damage Resistance by 40 for 20 seconds

• If the target is wearing Power Armor, the DR reduction increases to 60 for 20 seconds
