**SUBJECT TO CHANGE PORTING TO LIVE SERVERS**

With thanks to Garust, Vicyorus, SugarBombs.Rads, Coffee888, and GamerMOM.

This guide is broken up into the following sections:

  • The event

  • Cargo spawn location

  • Rewards

Beasts of Burden is part of the Once in a Blue Moon DLC that drops in June 2023.

This event will be permanently added to the Public Event list.

A notification will appear in the top left-hand corner of your screen and in the World Activity tab in the bottom left-hand corner.

As with all new events, Beasts of Burden will be one of two events that can run on the hour, every hour for the first two weeks after the patch.

You do not "need" any particular items or equipment for this event however the following is recommended to make the event a little bit easier:

  • Jetpack torso mod

  • Marsupial mutation

  • Speed Demon mutation

  • Damage output buffs such as food, chems, and alcohol

  • Max AP and AP Regen food buffs

  • Turn off all unrelated event and quest map markers in your pip-boy

This event can be solo'ed. There is just enough time to collect the cargo before the timer runs out.

The Event

You have 5 mins to speak to Luca and start the event.

Once you have spoken to Luca, he will ask you to head over to the Cultist's Camp and retrieve his explosives.

You have 30 seconds to follow the area search marker on your HUD and reach the center of the camp.

The event will not fail if you do not get to the center of the camp in time. The event will just move on to the next step.

Luca will then ask you to retrieve his explosives from the Cultist Sanctifiers.

The Cultist Sanctifiers can be identified by their Raider Power Armour and Blue Flame Flamers....

or you can just follow the map markers on your HUD.

Kill the Cultist Sanctifiers and loot the explosives from their corpses.

You can use the loot all function to collect them faster.

The explosives are a shared loot item which means that multiple players from the same public or private team can collect the same explosive from the same corpse.

You have 4.5 minutes to retrieve the explosives and place them on the shack doors.

There are 8 shack doors in total. Once you have Luca's explosive in your inventory, map markers will show on your HUD, directing you to the shack doors.

Hold down A to place the explosives on the doors.

Once all the doors have explosives on them, you have 15 seconds to get clear of the doors.

Behind the doors are crates filled with cargo.

Luca will ask you to collect 20 pieces of cargo from the crates and load them onto his Brahmin, Moona Lisa.

You have 5 minutes to complete this task or the event will fail.

You can only carry one piece of cargo at a time.

Each crate has a different amount of cargo and some will disappear after they have been emptied.

Crate #1

Far-right of the camp.

Total amount of cargo: 4 pieces

Crate #2

Behind the wooden fence on the left.

Total amount of cargo: 4 pieces

Crate #3

The furthest point of the camp, on the left.

Total amount of cargo: 6 pieces

Crate #4

Upstairs, closest to the barn where Moona Lisa is.

Total amount of cargo: 300 pieces

Crate #5

Upstairs at the far left of the camp.

Total amount of cargo: 300 pieces

When you have a piece of cargo in your inventory, a map marker will show on your HUD, directing you to Moona Lisa's location.

There is a trick to loading up the Brahmin solo, (shout out to the amazing Coffee888 for sharing this with me).

Start at crate #1 and keep going back to it until it is empty. Then move on to crate #2 and take cargo from there until it is empty and using a jetpack, jump up onto the platform and take from crate (#3) until you have hit the 20 pieces that you require.

When all 20 pieces of cargo have been loaded, the event will move onto the final stage and the Ogua will spawn.

The Ogua will curl up into a ball mid-fight. The Ogua is immune to damage while he is in this position.

The Ogua will always spawn as a Legendary and drops the following upon death:

  • Legendary weapon or armour

  • Contextual Ammo

  • Bone

  • Waste Oil

  • Gunpowder

  • Adhesive

  • Asbestos

  • Common Junk Items

Mothman Eggs

Farmable Mothman Eggs have been added to this location.

3 can be found in one of the rooms upstairs.

Note: These can only be accessed after the shack doors have been blown off up until the event has ended. Once all the players have left the cell, the doors will respawn and you won't be able to get inside.
