Burning Springs: Sinkhole Solutions Event Guide

Sinkhole Solutions is part of the Burning Springs DLC that drops in December 2025

This event will be permanently added to the Public Event list.

A notification will appear in the top left-hand corner of your screen and in the World Activity tab in the bottom left-hand corner.

As with all new events, Sinkhole Solutions will be one of two events that can run on the hour, every hour for the first two weeks after the patch.

I’d highly recommend bringing Fire Resistance and Cryo weapons for this event. Perk cards like Exterminator and Glow Sight under Perception are also very useful here.

If you’re not running a combat-ready build, make sure to pack some Cryogenic Grenades or Floater Freezer Grenades to help with crowd control.

This event can be soloed as long as you’re using a strong combat build.

Corrosive Stingwing
Corrosive Stingwing Suicider
Glowing Corrosive Stingwing
Burning Ogua

Burning Radscorpions and Corrosive Stingwings inflict a unique attack called Abraxodyne Corrosion when they hit. This attack applies multiple damage-over-time effects and an armor debuff at the same time:

Health Damage Over Time: Deals 10 damage per second for 5 seconds.
Radiation Damage Over Time: Applies 2 radiation damage per second for 8 seconds (does not affect players immune to radiation).
Anti-Armour Effect: Reduces the target’s Damage Resistance by 40 points for 20 seconds.
- If the player is wearing Power Armor, a stronger variant of the effect applies, reducing Damage Resistance by 60 points instead.

The Event

Willow will ask you to help clear out the Burning Springs Radscorpions

Stage 1: Activate the Stomper

You have 4 minutes and 40 seconds to activate Willow’s Stomper machine and begin the extermination process.

Stage 2: Enter the Objective Area

Once the Stomper has been activated, you have 30 seconds to move into the designated objective area.

Stage 3: First Wave

You have 1 minute to Survive or Exterminate the first wave of Burning Springs Radscorpions.

You don’t have to kill anything in this stage, the objective is to survive or exterminate. Either option will complete the stage, so you can hold your ground and wait out the timer if you prefer. Keep in mind that leaving enemies alive now might come back to bite you during the final wave.

Stage 4: Destroy the First Set of Nests

Once the first wave is cleared, destroy 3 Radscorpion nests.

The nests can be destroyed using grenades, melee attacks, and ranged weapons.

Stage 5: Second Wave

You have 1 minute to Survive or Exterminate the second wave of Burning Springs Radscorpions.

Stage 6: Destroy the Second Set of Nests

Once the second wave is cleared, destroy 4 Radscorpion nests.

The nests can be destroyed using grenades, melee attacks, and ranged weapons.

Stage 7: Third Wave

You have 1 minute to Survive or Exterminate the third wave of Burning Springs Radscorpions.

Stage 8: Destroy the Final Set of Nests

Once the third wave is cleared, destroy 5 Radscorpion nests.

The nests can be destroyed using grenades, melee attacks, and ranged weapons.

Stage 9: Final Encounter

After destroying the final nests, you’ll have 3 minutes to exterminate the final wave before the event ends.

You only need to eliminate the enemies marked on your map. You can clear out the rest if you want, but if you’re running solo, just focus on the marked ones; that’s all that’s required to complete the event.

Two groups of enemies will spawn, usually one on each side of the lake. Each group contains three legendary Burning Radscorpions and one legendary Ogua.
